This weekend’s racing is going to GO OFFFFFFFF!
Australian Motor Racing Series Round 4, Phillip Island, Vic. Only 90 mins out of Melb. CBD.
The 7 National Categories attending include:
Australian Touring Car Challenge: Group A vs old V8 Supercars vs Future Tourers vs Super Tourers including the PB Motorsport Peugeot 406.
Formula 3: Watch the Renault powered cars spit flames and waltz away from everyone else.
Formula 4000: with the new V6 engines and a different tyre manufacturer for this year.
Transam Sports Sedans: the fastest tin-top race cars from the national series, the Vic series, which is arguably the most fiercely fought state sports sedan championship in Aus and even a couple from overseas. V8s, Rotaries, Turbos – Very fast. Awesome to watch.
Commodore Cup: the name might seem boring but the racing is anything but.
Australian GT Championship coupled with the Australian Porsche Drivers Challenge: Exotics and lots of them. Chrysler, Lamborghini, Porsche….. you know. Always fun to see fat cats rubbing panels & Ferraris catching fire, (no really).
There won’t be any yobs having a pissup, yelling profanities at your missus, or frightening your kids, (this is AMRS, not Avesco).
This is the biggest national meet at P.I. for years. Australia’s fastest open wheelers & sedans. The cars are charismatic. The racing will be fierce.
Get out to the track and support the series.
2 Day pass = $20
Pensioners/Students/Concession = $15
All children under 16 = Free
Don’t forget your camera (and pack the kids some ear protection).
