I've just found a good page which gives the specifications for Alpines A110 and later, and their production numbers:

<a href="http://www.alpine-renault.net/modeles.htm" target="_blank">http://www.alpine-renault.net/modeles.htm</a>

Click on the 4 different cars (A110, A310, GTA, A610) to get the pages with lists of specs for their various models.

One thing I found out which surprised me was that there were ALOT more A310 V6's made than there were GTA's or A310 4 cylinders. There were over 10,000 V6 A310's made, whilst there were less than 6000 GTA's, and less than 2500 1.6 litre A310's.

So I guess that even though the A310 is a more desirable car (atleast appearance wise) than the later models, the fact that there are more of them helps keep the price down (relatively speaking), so the 2000 pound prices for rough cars listed in Classic & Sportscar may not be as unrealistic as I thought.

I was surprised that there were less than 1500 naturally aspirated GTA's made, but I guess their prices remain relatively low, despite their rarity, due to them being the most undesirable Alpine (which I guess is the reason why so few were made in the first place).

So it seems that rough versions of any of the naturally aspirated V6 Alpines can be bought for quite low prices, while on the other hand immaculate Turbo models still bring very high prices.

As you would expect, the most desirable Alpine of them all, the A110, are worth plenty of money, especially the 1600S (whose numbers have grown due to conversions of V85's).

I wonder what Mexican or Brazilian built A108's are worth? I'd imagine they're worth less than French A108's, because there's more of them.

Here's a site that sells hot bits for the A310, including triple 42DCNF Webers, exhaust manifolds and 296 degree cams (I hope they've got the left/right bank cam discrepancy thing worked out):

For some nice Alpine pictures go to the Alpine Club Alsace website:

and go to their photos page
