Fernado Alonso is in pole position for the F1 Malaysian GP tomorrow with team mate Jarno Turlli in 2nd!!!
Awesome work Renault. Now I just hope they can keep up the good work and get a podium in the race! head_ban head_ban renault_ :D :D

I'll be having a few a_drink a_drink if they do

GO renault_

And the good thing about the current qualifying regulations is that the pace is "real" pace, not a loose qualifying motor.

Hopefully they can put the pace to good use tomorrow.

......I wonder if Renault F1 has a spare motor I can squeeze into the fuego..noise and EPA compliance might be a problem....

Now thats more like it, i was expecting that sort of pace from the Ren's @ melb.
Do any know if ch10 still brodcasting this, i just hope the hand the commentating back F1iTV, please ch10 do yourselves a favour.
GO YOU RENAULTS!
Xq

ps, misterano you of all people should be able to flex something down at the EPA regarding that F1 implant for your car. If not i take it youl be importing an Espace then..

Flexing some 'muscle' might be possible, but when every window at the EPA shatters on start up it might require a bit mor explaining.....
Oh, and the flames out of the exhaust pipe on overun might scorch the emission probe up tailpipe.....
I think understeer could be a bit of a problem too...ateast the standard 5 speed box should be up to the job......for .053 of a second atleast...

Awesome work Renault!!!!
Looks like that light fuel load qualifying strategy paid off with Alonso coming home 3rd!!!! and Trulli in 5th.
After the first corner I wanted to put a price on schumakers head though, grrrr
But all turned out ok in the end
Lets hope they keep up this kind of pace for the rest of the year!!!!

GO renault_

Doesn't everybody question :D :D :D
The race may have been a different story if Trulli would have been there to shield Alonso...maybe Renault would have been inclined to use the 'hare and tortoise' tactic...

I heard that the reason for Renaults good showing at malaysia is that the humid climate affected Renault's engine performance less than other teams...(i dont see how  )

That means Brazil is looking good...

Well done Regie!!

Humidity and engines??Not sure about that really, but the result was fantastic to say none the less.

Great stuff isnt it?

Brazil's heat isn't humid like the Malasian one, its not as harsh, when i was there i was quite suprised at the weather, not so harsh, more tropical like. Still damm hot.
Having said that we know who the n3 team is now:
id still rank Ferrari as team 1, now Mclaren team 2 and Reanult team 3!!!
GO YOU FROGGIES!!

Density of air would matter less in a wider-angeled V10 like Renaults(?). Leave it to the experts i suppose...

Yes it certainly was a race worth staying up for, even thow Channel 10 said they would not be doing delayed telecasts, but I think they'll have to sack Neil Cromptom and employ someone who can say Renault. Did anyone else notice? Bill Woods give Renault a plug every chance he gets but Crompton won't mention them unless he absolutly has to. At the start of the program when they were talking about the qualifying hi lights Crompton talked about Alonso being the youngest ever pole sitter and when the camera was on the Renault pits and they were jumping for joy and hugging each other all Crompton could say was, that team looks happy, (or something like that). Take notice in future, I beleive if he can't be unbiased he should be sacked.

David.

looks like u guys in OZ lucked out on the comentary department. Over here we get the full ITV comentary with Martin Brundle and James Allen.
And in the good ol days Murry Walker!!!
Looks like James is taking over from Murry in more ways than one, he's even started doing Murry-isms
LOL :D :D

We did get the Brundle/Allen commentary for the Malaysian GP, it was just the pre-race comments (up to the commencement of the race) that were the AUS commentators.
