Note the drip tray under the gearbox..

Could've sold that for a decent sum at the auction last week!

The europeans seem to like taking their engines out over winter and running them on a test rig i've found. I saw it in a french Gordini/Alpine magazine a number of years ago.

When you have something as beautiful as that why spoil it by putting it in a car, shouldn't be hidden under a bonnet.

A few of my own.

One evening........................

Wow now that is one lucky L Plater

That L plate became my trade mark and sort of a joke. When I left the pit lane for my first ever race on a track in ZA I was stopped at the pit exit by an official and had to tie a meter long bunting tape (that red and white striped tape they use for putting around trip hazards) to the back of the engine cover as a warning for the other drivers that I am a learner/beginner...........and guess who won the race.
Frans

no , he was a stunt driver and did the whole section on 2 wheels . did a reasonable time too .

And here was i thinking that he was just showing us how clean the under side of his car is.

I've seen Ari Vatanen and Colin Bond save BDA Escorts from this sort of lean angle and not tip in the old Castrol International rallies in Canberra hence the question.

Pottsy and I have have had to point Colin and Greg Carr in the right direction in a rally.
Southern Cross iirc.
