I got most of the Rallye stuff and some cheap new parts (elec windows switches and housings) from

https://www.unedesauvee.com

Their site is in french but had no problems ordering and getting it delivered fairly quickly

Also got the Rallye arch kit from Portugal:-

Can anyone tell me what this thing (white filter looking thingy)?

A valve thingy, to only let vapours past?

I think it is the valve that allows fuel vapour from the tank to go to the canister at the front of the car when the fuel in the tank expands on hot days. It may not be exactly a valve but some sort of separator that collects liquid at the bottom and gas flows at the top, who knows? Idea being that if liquid fuel reaches the canister it will clump the carbon powder in there and render it useless. Follow the white tube see where it goes or just check the canister see if there's a tube like that arriving there.

Sadly, times have changed, I'm moving to melbourne and have to get rid of this rig, though I would have so much liked to see it back in its former glory. If anyone's interested, shoot me an offer, I'm looking for around $1500 or so, but to the right home...

and she's gone, to a lad up in gladstone that plans to hotrod it with a GTI drivetrain :) glad she's found a good home
