604 front door -Has anyone suffered the front door handles (both inside and outside) failing to work? Bit tricky to fix, need to remove the door trim to fix it, need to open the door to remove the door trim......

Yes it''s a Catch 22 situation. What I have done in the past is to squirt CRC into the outer handle while holding it open. Then the same down the interior lock knob hole.
The cause, I have found is that the old grease on the lock mechanism hardens with age [a bit like my arteries].
When ? they have freed off remove and clean then re grease everything.
The little plastic clips on the rods are very fragile, you might have a pocket full of spares ready
