I am about to have my GTi Mk1 8 spoke alloys straightened, but I thought it might be cheaper to source some others in good condition. Does anyone know where these can be found?
I have an 85 505 GTi too. If you find someone with a few of them laying around, I'd be keen to know. I've tried all usual haunts with no luck. The places I have looked reckon a reconditioned set will cost about $1000 - I don't know how accurate that is. I think it's a case of waiting for someone to write their car off before one can get a set ...a bit sad really.
Custom Painting & Wheel Repairs at Kings Park (near Blacktown, NSW). They charge about $150 per wheel; this includes straightening and repainting. Ken Guymer form the Peugeot Car Club recommends them.
