Hello All,
Have recently spent some time resetting the timing on my '73 504. I found that the previous person who had timed it was way off, easy fixed I advanced it on and the car has regained it's usual zippy feel.
The issue is with the timing advanced it has lifted the idle speed, I have adjusted the throttle stop screw but even with that a long way out it still idles a bit too quickly.
Haynes makes reference to a screw on the rear of the carbie, but I have been unable to locate it on either the carbie on the car or the spare I have (by the way it's an original Solex).
Any advice?
Ben
