I need help navigating the plumbing on the 504 engine in my 404 ute project

Photo no 1- under the carb. (the carb is the twin throat progressive)
The big ugly one is obviously water. I'm guessing the one beneath it is for vacuum for a brake booster? Above those two, the small one sticking out is the vacuum advance for the distributor but there are twin larger vacuum (I'm guessing they are!) outlets pointing to the front & rear of the carb. Are they for some other auxiliary function? Automatic transmission?- so I just have to put a loop in to seal them?

Photo no. 2- base of the inlet manifold, flywheel side. One water connection. Where to?

Photo no.3 Water pump. 2 outlets, one larger. Where to?

Photo no.4 Rear of cylinder head. Two outlets. One larger. Where to?

I can't tell you all connections. I can't remember.

However the top heater hose connects to rear of the cylinder on the LHS
and bottom heater hose goes to the WP big spigot on the RHS.

I think the WP RHS small spigot joins to the big port on inlet manifold LHS. under the carby. You need to hose adapters to change the hose diameters.

The advance port is in the carby base ?

A look at an XN engined 505 would really help .

Looking at the condition of some of those aluminium spigots. I'd consider buying some brass(or stainless) hose tails and drilling and tapping the aluminium castings to fit them.

A couple of turns of teflon tape both seals and isolates the different metals.

In the current condition you may battle to get the hose to seal.

I'm sure about the heater, but not completely sure about the carby heat hoses.
