504 door linkage clips

Hello All,

Doing a bit of maintenance on the 504 door latches, I've taken a couple out to clean them out and re lubricate and have ran into a bit of a snag.

I have found that plastic clips that the rods (door lock and handle) go into have all fallen apart when I have removed them, I had a number of spares in other doors but they are all suffering the same fate. I guess that's what happens with 45 year old plastic!

Has anyone been able to source these or something that will act as a replacement?

I believe they are the same as 505 ones. Try Lewin in Brisbane....

Good tip thanks Beano, found a good source of them in broken exterior 505 door handles. I knew I kept a bucket full of them for a reason!

In desperation I have used carby linkage clips [metal]. They are a bit slack but do the job. Yes, the original plastic type self destruct.
