OK... so... daddy bought a 4ooh7 and I d like to swap the black cluster for the white...
I m getting this car ready for the RWC...
It's a relatively low milage 407hdi just a touch over 150K... 2005 model... the interior is really shmick... like new... but a touch bland and I figured a white cluster would just break it up a little... (kids disagree and reckon black is classy)
I ve got the white cluster already but am hesitant...
I ve tried to search this up but am still unsure and a touch hesitant...
Will the ecu or bsi display existing milage or the one with the new cluster...
I m worried replacement might have higher milage and I don't want bsi to accept it as it seems to be a view out there on the interwebs...
Will the car force existing milage regardless cluster or will it choose highest?

Is there a way of reading what milage is on the new white face cluster...

Yes the highest mileage will burn on the bsi but you can bench power up the cluster and it should show the mileage

Thanks for you reply... you are always prompt and very helpful... appreciated...

Yes... bench testing makes sense...
I m guessing an earth and a positive to correct pins is all that's required...?

I ll see if I can search out pin/connector schematic...
