Just writing to see if anyone has any solution to taking my 2.7L HDi out of park.

We are being fronted with “automatic gearbox programme fault” with ignition on, and the car will not start. We do not know of any shift lock release button so any information or tips would be super helpful on how to get the car into neutral. Thank you.

Is that with the 6 speed Aisin box? The selector lever comes with the transmission.

It has been a topic many times in the Citroen forum, eg:

You need to pull back the trim and use a screwdriver to move the lock at the right front.

There are several reasons for the lock sticking closed, such as low battery voltage, the lock itself failiing, and the transmission computer not releasing it.

I should have added. Release the lock, but get the OBD code read. If the transmission ECU is not releasing it.
