Hi All,
I have a 406 GLX (1997)

the thermometer display is set to display Fahrenheit. this means nothing to me. does any one know how to change it to display centigrade?. A mechanic once told me to snip some wires behind the display but i can't remember which ones!

Thanks AW Walker

Just a thought, but here in Australia when speedos were changed from MPH to KPH you could get a stick over facia to show speed in klms. As Celcius & Farenheit can be shown on the one thermometer, you would have to think that either a dial face showing oC or a "stick on" type conversion would have to be available.
Have you spoken to your main dealer & if no positive response, a call or e-mail to the factory should sort it out.

I guess you mean the it's a digital readout?? You'll probably need to find someone with an owners manual to tell you how to switch the readout over. It's probably very simple to do, once you know how......... Maybe go to a caryard with a 406 for sale and check it's glovebox for an owners manual?
