Your picture is very low res, but appears to be MEVW, which would be Satellite Grey (EVW) or Gris Thallium in French markets.
Not sure if the M relates to the paint type, but I think Peugeot used it to denote Metallic or Pearlescent paint types.
This was about the time (circa 1997) that Peugeot went to a different system where the first 3 digits was the colour and the last digit was the paint type.
For instance, EVWC: EVW (Satellite Grey) and where the C denotes "varnished metallic paint".
