Went to move the MI today and rear brakes locked on hard. Hand brake was off (never have it on in garage) and could feel something not quite right.

Thinking it’s the rear beam proportioning valve is stuffed??

I’ve jacked up rears on stands and removed wheels. Hand brake cable is loose/disconnected now from the calipers but they are still hard locked.

Has the Bosch ABS system - could this have locked on the rears somehow?

Can I crack the rear brakes and release brakes but keep the fronts working to drive to the workshop to get sorted?

Thanks,
Geoff

Nope - brand new Goodrich braided lines all round. Cars a Tarmac rally car so well maintained.....apart from something that’s now failed!!

Also all new refurb calipers front and rear from TWR in the UK.

I would say that the rear piston(s) have corroded in the calipers and refuse to budge. It has happened twice to two different MI16's I have owned. If you can get a good rear caliper/piston set from a wrecker and replace the faulty one all will be good again. Alternatively you will need to remove the pads and caliper assembly and remove the piston replacing it with a new piston bought from overseas.
