I saw this car at the National Motoring Heritage Day event at East Kurrajong on 15 May. As can be seen in the photo, it has been lowered as far as it can go and has some minor body modifications. The roof is a metallic bronze and the car is supposedly a 1957 model. I didn't get to talk to the owner, but the car comes from South Windsor and I believe the current owner is not the person who made the modifications. Does anyone recognise the car and know anything of its history?

This looks like the car Evan Martin (Evans Classic Car Garage) & his son Luke built, since sold. The side exit exhaust gives it away.

Had a different colour roof from when i saw it last and looks like they resprayed the white as well as it was looking a little weathered

Was last on FB marketplace a couple of years ago

From Evan Classic Garage FB page. The one of a kind exhaust behind front wheel, through the panel is sort of a give a way as mentioned by pgti6

So good to have the exhaust in front of the driver. Nice fresh fumes

I'm guessing the exhaust is coming out the guard because of the car being a little on the low side?
Not that I have anything against a side exit exhaust.😉

Hot rod or Rat rod ?

Looks like the door handles have been reinstalled. It doesn't really have the clean lines that suit poppers anyway.

Cheers

Justin

Thanks everyone for your input - nice to know more about the history of the car.
