Hey guys,

Anyone know where I can find a 403 distributor support or anything that will do the job? We have a 404 block that has one but I need some advice on whether it will work and if so, how to extract it?

On a friends spare 403 block, I stupidly tried to twist and pull to remove and the support just snapped. Being aluminium and 50 years beaded in the block, that and I was most likely using the wrong technique.

Looking for ward to some replies,

They are a very slight taper fit and do just tap in but I think you have to whack them out from inside . I have removed them with the block fully stripped down but you need a nice fitting socket and a long extension . From memory it takes a fair amount of effort.

Mine is the type shown in the first picture below, came broken, it's slowly tapped out unless someone had decided to add some loctite for yours. Found a NOS replacement but did not have the adjustment spindle type as shown in 2nd picture. Have added a bar to make sure the whole assembly does not decide to lift up as seen in picture 2.

i may have an extra, let's see if anything pops up in Aussie, postage seem to be bad these days, I'm still awaiting a part from Australia and another from China.

Great idea, looks great! Seems to be a common problem, them breaking.
