4007 auto box oil change

Hi. Has anyone changed the oil in a 4007 auto box? Has it got a filter? And does the pan need to come off or has it got a drain and fill plug?

Did you end up getting a code out of it I wouldn’t change the oil yet It will not fix anything

No code as yet, the car hasnt been driven. The car was a recent purchase and gearbox servicing is unknown. It has 145000 on the clock so I want to replace the oil anyway so why not before I check the codes. Filter could be blocked and throwing a code? Not sure. New oil and filter (if fitted with one) and i will get the code checked out

What sort of code reader did you use a standard oebd read won’t talk to the gearbox have replaced heaps of hydraulic control units don’t forget it’s a dsg not a normal auto so diagnosis is different than a normal gb

It was a snap on unit worth about 9 thousand bucks. Thats all i know about it. The gearbox isnt noisy, hasn't ever played up or anything abnormal it just gets a warning light on the dash
