3D printed carbon con rods

Hi Stuey :)
I think that is a come-on article. It has some questionable statements, eg " they’re often made of cast metals and alloys for strength and heat dissipation" Written by a computer expert I think. I thought high performance conrods were forged !
However who knows what might happen. But as 3D printing makes things by squirting small liquid blobs of stuff many times that all have to stick to each other it seems less likely that will be good for a con rod IMHO.
We live in interesting times :(
