308 1.6 Manual gearbox oil change

G'day froggers ...

I'd like to know please whether it is recommended to change the gearbox oil or just follow Peugeot's advice and keep the oil for life (I think we all know what happened to AL4 owners who followed that specific piece of advice).
So the 308 1.6 VTi manual is now around 7 years old (Gearbox is BE 4 N)
It only has 43 k Km on the clock.
Advice would be much appreciated.

Al4 issues where greater than just oil but it can’t hurt just make sure you get the correct oil you don’t want the dreaded sticky cold shifts
