It'll be interesting to see how it goes. I'm not an expert on rally, so I'll let everyone else jump in with their commentary.
 
Very svelt to look at.
Should cut a nice clean line through the air, probably create lift, but not at the speeds most rally's are done at, perhaps over the jumps?
I like it, seems longer than the 206, but i know puegeot had to sell the GT kit with the road going 206's to have them qualify for WRC use, and meet size rulings. So perhaps this car with a naturaly longer wheel base, it won't need it?

Very smooth lines, i think suited more for track work though. Engineering wise Peugeot Sport have gone all out, i hope they've tested the car well enough as none of us would like to see a really quick car breaking down or vice-versa :( .

One innovation is the 307 WRC gearbox, a 5 speed Hewland, which is located at the rear of the engine in a transverse position, contrary to the one on the 206 WRC which is in a longitudinal position. A conical counter gear situated behind the centre differential provides the drive to the rear wheels. The three differentials - front, centre and rear - are electronically managed
Very smart indeed, has any other team ever come up with a similar idea ever???

Power is approximately 300 bhp (221kW) at an engine speed of 5250 rpm with a torque of 580 Nm at 3500 rpm.
The power is preety much the same as the 206wrc however the 206 wrc Max torque is 535@3500 rpm.

It will be interesting to see how we perfrom next year, Richard Burns is leaving us eek! and im not to sure who his replacement will be,as long as M.Gronholm is there we should be ok wink .

As far as the colour scheme is concerned, well i think everyone grows to like "marlboro red" we are so use to it these days, personally i'd like the silver,white or that Prost F1 blue. wink

...ah, well yes and no. The problem was that the 206 was too short to comply with rulings in the WRC. So to qualify they had the GT kit, which is just larger and lower (read not wider) front and rear bumpers, plus small wheels flares. Find "Omak" in the members galleries and you will see what i mean.
This kit is still available from Peugeot themselves, but if you want a better WRC looking kit then visit auto-paris.com.au to find out more.
Also think about what you want from you car, looks and/or performance. -chris
