ElBossO's aging 307 has an a/c problem that we are having trouble sorting.
Any thoughts or ideas appreciated.

The compressor has seized and the gas escaped. So have obtained a secondhand compressor from the wreckers.
Hers is a 2.0 RFN engine, but the one i got was from a 1.6, assuming them to be functionally the same.
But it didn't pump much pressure and the a/c cut off after a few minutes.
So replaced that compressor with another, again from a 1.6. This one pumps pressure but has the same issue of running for a minute or so then the pressure drops off and no more cold air.

the a/c guy has been both very helpful and patient. He did several tests, most of which were inconclusive.
His idea is that the rubber hoses have failed and left an intermittent blockage inside the pipe.

I'm wondering if it could be the pressure switch, or something else.
Possibly even the incorrect compressor, although they look identical, they are the same series but the model number is different.

The a/c guy wants to replace the entire pipe set from the compressor to the firewall.
Am looking for other suggestions if any a/c expert has them
