Getting the brake warning light on the 306's dash. New pads all round and wiring to them intact. Blown and shorted bulbs attended to 4 weeks ago that seemed to be giving the warning light. All bulbs working. Fluid level OK. What else can I look at?

Purely a guess, but the brake switch behind the pedal, under the dash can go. You need to be an octopus to change it out easily though.

Also, ABS system? The abs pump or whatever sensors it uses could have gone. Also, is the wiring to the brake fluid reservoir ok?

Look at the wire to the pads and check that it has not frayed anywhere along its path and come into contact with the chassis. That is what happened to my 405.
Best of luck
