@07 SW Rear Seat Removal,

We got them out with a struggle.
undone the two bolts under/behind lower split bench seat, between the split.
then the 3 torxe screws under the front lip of bench seat...

I don't feel we did this right
Comments/ suggestions welcome pls.

Reason for seat removal is the access the file pump,
Brought the car two days ago,
had to fuel up to get her home,
She died within sight of the servo.
Seemingly no fuel coming upon from the tank.
we will confirm this in the morning.

There have been a few threads on testing in-tank pumps, and removing and replacing them. On the forum home page there is a very good Duckduckgo search box - look for them there. Most small Peugeot and Citroen cars are quite similar.

If you have to remove the pump get the special tool. Replacing the pump securing ring in a plastic tank so that it doesn't leak is tricky.

If you need to post about the engine it will help greatly if you quote letters 6-7-8 of the VIN. This is the engine code, and many models share each engine type. For example there is no end of 1.6 litre and 2.0 litre engines.

?1, Is there a Diesil fuel Lift Pump with in or near the diesel fuel tank ?.
?2 If so were is it ? in the Tank or elsewhere? there is only two very light wires going into the fuel tank cover suggesting the t\pumps not in there.
Is it down under the floor some were?
We will be testing the electrical tonight.
So thought I'ed post these questions first.
with thanks Douglas.

PS, we got her to fire / chug a few turns on bro start this morning , so it's not a mechanical problem.

Thanks again Douglas

You missed some VIN characters, but it doesn't matter. Then engine is a 9HZ, which is a 1.6L DV6TED4 HDI engine with a particle filter.

If you start a topic later mentioning the code will help get an answer. The engine is used in a long line of Peugeots and Citroens so other model owners can throw in their experience.

You are right. The pump is elsewhere, actually at the HP pump assembly. A fuelling diagram is attached (ignore the fuel cooler)..

Start with the filter, as the car is new to you. It may be choked, or full of water. I imagine you have no idea how it was maintained. If you need help with the unusual filter setup, ask - there are many owners here.

IMPORTANT: This small diesel engine is particularly susceptible to delayed or missing service issues. Change the oil and oil filter soon, and don't miss the regular schedule. Consider changing the fuel filter, and perhaps the cabin filter. The correct oil is a C2 or C3 grade which minimises clogging of the particle filter, turbo and EGR. Turbos are expensive. Don't use anything else. There are several brands, including Penrite. Owners who service properly have got huge mileages out of the engine.

Filters and sump washers are easiest and most economically got from EAI (Box Hill South), who will deliver to you.

This engine differs greatly from larger HDI engines. It has a plastic filter affair, well hidden. One type is above. There are many Youtubes, such as this that show the operation.

Hopefully David S will spot this thread. My experience is mainly with larger engines.
