Well, the 206gti180 list price seems about as good as any of us could have hoped I guess.....

It still feels like this car is 2yrs late to market though......

If it was around 2 years ago I wouldn't have purchased my GTi 1 year ago ... it was only a rumour 2 years ago - them the breaks. Agreed, they missed the boat.

but it's still nice, i wouldn't mind owning one... i need a pay rise!

Don;'t get me wrong - apart from the niggles the GTi has given us, not a day we drive it, is the decision to buy one (and not wait 18 months longer) ever regretted. approve

Hmmm, having stated on this forum that my girlfriend and I have agreed to keep the S16 till it dies, I'm actually thinking about going back on that decision. Just have to convince her now. mallet Hell, might even buy a GTi180 anyways! roll_lau

$1k above the Clio Sport, I guess that's the price of being better looking :)

They made a boo boo in the 206 GTi180 press release though.

Peugeot 307 CC 2-door
Ahwell, I guess it shares the same engine.

Legroom in the 307 CC doesn't look that bad in <a href="http://us1.webpublications.com.au/static/images/news/aw/peu0310162dmg.jpg" target="_blank">this pic</a>. Looks like a totally new world compared to its 206 cousin.

Anyone visited the motorshow yet? Looks interesting, just noticed Ford will launch its Fiesta in 2004.

Why is it in the review of the 307 'Touring' they think the cars have plenty of power, whereas when the 307 hatch was new everyone was complaining how slow they were (even the 2L auto).

These aren't reviews, they're press releases!!!

Gotta love the wanky language they use:

a rear suspension with a semi-deformable cross member
Aka. torsion beam axle.
