Hey my froggies friend,
I had an issue with my reverse light for ages now.
This week end I had a bid of time and starts to investigate.
The light bulb first are Ok, the F1 fuse is Ok too, but no 12V is going to the lights.
Thanks to an other post here I started to look at the reverse switch on the gearbox.
I bridge the connector and it’s now working.
I clean the connection and also try to test the switch, it seems to fail.
So I guess I’m good to buy a new switch.

1/ any chance to salvage the switch, I’m more keen to get a new one.
2/ Where to buy that and to make sure it the right one?
3/ I tried the removed the switch but it seems to be a 22mm deep socket to do so. Am I right ?

Any other check you will do before buying a new switch.

Thanks guys.

Turn on the ignition and connect the two wires on the switch together. If the reverse lights turn on:it's likely a a faulty switch.

If the lights don't turn on, the fault is elsewhere.

Thanks Robmac,

Yeah I did that and the lights work.
So I’m searching for a replacement switch.
Any idea where to get one??

The Canberra Peugeot dealer should be able to get one in, but first I'd call EAI in Thornleigh, on the chance that they may have a lower priced one - they are common to several PSA cars.

Where did you order from? My 306 xsi needs a new reverse light switch....
