Hi, I'm getting some parts shipped over from Europe and need to make sure I'm getting the right size so nothing has to get returned. The last thing on the list is drums to freshen up the rear. I would check my car but it is parked about 3 hour drive away from me. Would anyone here be able to let me know if these would fit? Do the gti, si or other euro models all share the same sized drum or are there a few different sizes.

Does someone have some si drums lying around that they could double check with the images below?

Thanks

Sorry no, just any base model drum will be the same I think. Can measure one on Monday.

I didn't know any GTi's got drums ? thought they all got disks on the rear ?
and other models (incl Si) got drums
the catalogue reads that way also, but have a look below
I've only ever seen Bendix (DBA) on the Si which would indicate yours are the #424731, 180 x 30mm

rear drums: Girling got either 180 x 30mm, (part #424731) OR 180 x 40 (part #424730)
Bendix only came in 180 x 30, (part #424731)

the ones in your pics look to be the 40mm, so my guess is they're wrong but not positive sorry

good luck, ordering from there is difficult sometimes..

1.6 GTis all had drums, also the Australian detuned 1.9s which were really just 1.6s. Discs only fitted to the last of the Australian GTis.

yeah right on, sometimes the catalogue is confusing or even misleading

just snuck under the rear of my Si to try confirm the measurement
but its not the outside of the drum that matters
and I've a gearbox to swap so no time to take off the wheel/drum to scope the inside drum face
its the first pic you have that is the 30/40mmmeasurement you need is shown in your first pic
think thats right
