Yes, and the fact is that they are actually better than the GTis.
Probably one of the best cars Peugeot has ever made and people are throwing them away. I just paid up the rego on my old one after all after a week of driving the GTi.

Oh well, I have a spare or two so I will have the only one left in a few years I guess.

Have to agree with you there Graham.
Much as I love driving my 205 GTi Mi16 with its power and lovely exhaust and induction notes its always a pleasure to get back into the Si.
Have just been offered a 205 Gti and an Si for $500, an offer I can't refuse.

Paul.

You lucky blighter!

Our thread starter needs a small panel cut to fix that damage properly.

Before you cut either car, see if you can get instruction from an experienced panelbeater or a copy of the Thatcham's Guide for 205 repairs.

The car also needs pulling straight before you cut or weld.

As long as you use the plastic bushes available from Ti Motorsport in the UK I haven't noticed any difference in Torque Steer etc.The aftermarket ones are far too soft and the originals worn out by now.
The Si suspension ""suspends" better, and the the car is more precise in the steering than the GTi, the difference of course is that GTi will corner harder on the limit, but where are you going to need to corner harder than an Si except for on the racetrack?
Graham

On that topic, isn't the front GTI lower suspension setup with a proper wishbone better than the Si control arm?

no worries on the panel cutting, as i have an undamaged si with a bare front end to cut. my dilemma is...... i havent got a welder. problem?

So another Si bites the dust for a GTi

If you are interested in a proper panel I have one, make an offer I can't refuse.

Was saving it for a rainy day, but guess it will never come for me.
