I have just fitted a Quaife LSD to my 205 BE3 gearbox and I wondered if the gearbox oil needs to change. I currently use Penrite Transgear 75w 80 semi-synthetic oil? What do other forum members use when they have one of these diffs fitted?

Been using castrol syntrax universal plus 75w-90 in my BE3 box with Quaife for over 10 years. :) Diff gets a lot of work in bitumen motorkhanas.

oem mineral oil, I stay away from the synthetics as they aren't compatible with the synchros. There's always left overs in the bottom of the oil pan when you drain it.

And here was I thinking that my last boxe's synchros were stuffed by driving the car from Brisbane to Sydney with a broken clutch cable!

Hope it was not the oil because I used it again in the replacement box I bought off you. :)

I did wear out a Quaife in the 2016 Classic Outback Trial, drove for extended times in 1st gear flat out through sandy river beds. Don't know whether different oil may have helped.
