Hi guys,

Posted a thread a while ago concerning tie rods rubbing on wheel. Had a fellow frogger mention the earlier wheels were 15", thus rubbing on the tie rods of later model 203's. Others had told me they had used 15" on their later model 203's with no issues.

Stupidly, I ground down the knuckles of the tie rods to allow for the smaller wheels. Decided to change them recently, and sourced some second hand tie rods. Note to anyone; 403 tie rods are 34mm (as per photo attached). 203, as mentioned in my previous post, if the body plate number is less than 1.877.363 it's set up to run on 16", and are subsequently 39mm tier rods. Why Peugeot decided to make them different, I have no idea!

Now switched to 403 tie rods, clearance is good but rubber still rubbing. Guess will have to live with that.

Relevant for anyone having the same issue.

Cheers Froggers,

James
