2012 508 console

Cleaning the indside of the car I lent on the console with my elbow and have pushed in the panel that contains the heating switches for the front seats. I gather this just clips up from underneath but how on earth do I get underneath the console panel??? I am not sure if the plastic top clips in some how or if I have to open up the whole console. Any help please??

You need to remove that whole section around the gear lever take care around the chrome trim it will peel it all just pulls up but just do it slowly a plastic trim tool is the best but a plastic knife will do if you are careful try not to take to much out at once ie don’t pull the front up from 20cm away
