I’m going to put this on here as while I’ve had pugs all my life my other car is a 2010 Land Rover Freelander 2 with the PSA 2.2 litre hdi
Motor (in the 508 and C5 I believe). It’s a great car but I’ve noticed lately a slight leak inbetween the auto gearbox (also an Aisin am6 like many pugs) and engine down around the sump region of the motor. I’m fearful this is the seal around the big end bearing. Has anyone had any similar probs but in there peugeot?

The 2.2 is pretty common for rear mains there is a modified seal difference in colour.

My wifes 307 hdi as a plastic turbo pipe runs front to back underneath ,right about were you are talking, i have found that if the hose clamp that secures the rubber pipe to the front of this isnt tight ,it can seep oil out ,clean the area off with some degreaser and a hose ,see if you can see were its coming from after a short drive, ,the wind under the car as you are traveling is going to blow it to the rear ,

The single turbo ones like yours and the 4007 are really common to leak being a free lander guess it would be a horrendous job like the 4007
