Hi all

I am currently giving the 504 some love with a full fluid service.

I am stumped as to what oil goes in the rear differential.

Penrite website is saying Trangear 75w-90 Semi Synthetic.

The old Haynes manual says Castrol Hypoy Light (80 EP).

The original factory glovebox owners manual says Esso Gear Oil GX80.

So....which one is it?

Cheers

I second that.....Penrite is the very best

And it is Australian, even better

Is it a keeper?

If not Aussie banana skins will work a treat

Probably get some posts here from next owner....damn

Fortunately for 504 owners the hypoid diff oils can be bought now in "bladder" containers making refilling easier unless of course you have access to garage type dispensers.
