Solid complete Renault 8. Asking for offers around $6k. It has some rust in bottoms of doors but comes with a suite of spare doors and rust in front right wheel arch and in the boot floor at the bottom of the plenum drain. It has some surface rust and age patina. Car has 48000 miles on Speedo and two new Nanking tyres. It runs, starts on the key and engine blows NO smoke
Would need brake overhaul but car rolls for manoeuvring.

Comes with a huge range of spares including two engines and a spare transaxle. (See list) radiator/s generators starters, discs(used) and other parts.
Contact on zero418 535 92three
Car is @1 hour east of Melb Vic

That looks very recoverable. That boot floor rust is almost universal - can you confirm no structural rust or inside-out body rust, as that is all that really matters?

Not many of us have surviving R1130 examples, so this is quite a rare car. :)

It’s a very straight car. The owner has a hoist and has inspected the car. The sills and pillars all seem solid I didn’t lift the mats in the car but will ask him.
He originally bought it to restore and was going to tidy it up and clearcoat it to keep its age and originality. He then found an opportunity to buy another desirable car and now wants to put his efforts into that.
All the rust I observed is readily fixable and the car is ready for resto.

That's great. The welded tabs where the cross members attach to the longerons on the floor pan are the areas I'd check. A bit of floor rust is to be expected but hardly an issue of moment.

Let's hope the right new custodian grabs it. :) You have to wonder what is still out there in sheds, don't you?

With the SA plates, it looks the the R8 that belonged to Ronger Mines' parents.
