My 1955 Citroen Big15 Family 9 is now for sale, I am selling due to a change in personal/ family circumstances,
the vehicle comes from a serious and thoughtful Citroen enthusiast family of 45 years with memberships with Citroen car clubs within Australia.
About the vehicle;
This classic vehicle is considered extremely rare with only a few examples throughout Australia.
This vehicle is number 3 from a production of 24 vehicles built in Slough, England UK.
This is a long wheelbase, 4 door, 9 seat sedan, it is in immaculate condition with complete original features including motor and 3 speed manual gearbox.
The car was purchased by myself in 2018 from the Gosford Classic Car Museum and kept primarily as the standout vehicle within my collection of 7 Citroen's.
The vehicle has been proudly restored by the 4th owner in 1993 and using NOS parts throughout its restoration and has only ever been serviced and maintained by a Citroen Vintage Car Specialist and since my ownership I used Lance Collins located in Brisbane QLD.
The Metallic Green Exterior paint is still in very good condition with only a few minor blister's while the brown leather interior is unmarked, this vehicle has been proudly kept in its original form with only the addition of flashing blinkers and period LUCAS fog lamps SFT700S.
Unfortunately, I do not have a version of the original handbook, but I do have all the original owner's certificates and service history from when it was first purchase in 1955 in Melbourne VIC and from all other owners' records throughout the years.
In November 2023 I spent over $13000 on;
New fuel tank, float, pump and hoses.
5 new Michelin 400 Tyres with tubes.
New engine heat shields X3.
New painted beaver tail.
All parts were fitted by Lance Collins plus a full service with new fluids and oils.
