Just out of curiosity, would anyone know how many 17 TS and Gordini's were imported to Australia?

17 TS and Gordini - How many imported?

This is sort of an educated guess, but out of the 750 15's and 17's originally imported, it is reputed that 75 were TS's and Gordini's.
Ones which would be interesting to find would be the original evaluation R1313 1565cc yellow RHD 17TS, and Maurice Fertey's (then Renault Aust. boss) silver 17TS. Another one which would be nice to find would be the LHD 17TS evaluation car which was donated (sans motor) to Ralph Sarich in the early days of the orbital engine.
A rumour goes that the 17TS motor went into a 16TS destined for an executives wife. Now that would be a good car to find and disprove it as only a rumour....
