I built the 309 gravel rally car 6 years ago now, I thought the big front ARB on the 309 caused problems such as wheel lifting and understeer so swapped it for a 205 GTi one. Left the back one as I didn't have anything to replace it. Front suspension has 175 lb springs and rear 21.3 Berlingo TBs. Pretty well forgot about it but the car has always been unstable at speed and very taily on bitumen with rally tyres. Had a think that maybe I should revisit the rear bar and do something about decreasing its size. I then noticed that Spoox in the UK had a 14 mm rear bar, used for better grip in the wet they said. Well I fitted it yesterday and the rear does feel more planted with no noticeable increase in body roll, Also unexpectedly the turn in is better, very responsive. I guess I'll find out more after I use it in an event or two.

Same as 205. Don’t know what is different about the 306.

I don't even run a front bar on my 205. It all depends on your setup obviously, and for what surface, but yes, I'd like a small rear ARB for the wet.

309 has 50mm more wheelbase than a 205.
