07 Peugeot 206 1.6l 16v Automatic

Hi Guys,

Hope you can help me, I removed the gear selection connector to top up my automatic gear box oil which I have done before, but as I was removed the connector i accidentally changed gear as I was removing the connector. I turned it back to the park position, but now the car won't start. I think it thinks the car is not in park.

Also can I move the gear selector inside the car without it being on(Running)? I was thinking to try and move the selector to the neutral position but I can't move it with the car off even if the ignition is in the on position before startup.

You can pull the trim of the selector and press down the little button to release the park lock it won’t activate if it’s not in Park as you have seen
