504 wondow lick seal removal and installation.

yep....just lift up gently I have a post somewhere but here are the picture again. I was lucky and didn't break any of the plastic clips. New ones are available from SERI04

Getting the rubber out of the chrome strip requires some elbow grease and hard work. The old rubber will be hard and do not slide out. I just gradually broke it up with a sharp blade. I used dish washing liquid to help slide the new rubber strip.

WD40 also helps to slide it in (evaporate); and won't promote rust
 
The rubber was purchased from Serie04 from memory. It's not a perfect replica but close enough. Better then anything else available. Had to use the heat gun (gently) to form the rubber to ensure it had adequate contact on the glass.
