An exceedingly rare one, with the very early round headlights!

    Forgotten what they looked like...

Bruce Collier used to tell me that the French regarded the 10 as a cissies' car, preferred the 8... I wouldn't have seen them as much different to each other...

    Zac,
You might get more interest if the 10 had a French flag sticker

    Cheers

The Déesse has all the characteristics of one of those objects fallen from another universe that fed the mania for novelty in the eighteenth century and a similar mania expressed by modern science fiction: the Déesse is first and foremost the new Nautilus.

    Ray,

I wouldn't say "cissie" but the 8 is my long term preference. I've owned both, but love the R8 after 29 years' driving it. Somehow they have more character, and they're lighter of course. No R10 Gordinis......

You remind me of a fantastic night and day I spent in a Gordini R8... the date was about July 15, 1966, I had not long moved in to live with Mike and Joy Kable at Belrose and I was spending the weekend in my first ever official capacity at Warwick Farm...

But it rained. And rained... 8" that night! Warwick Farm was postponed till August some time, but that night Mike took me out in the Gordini he had for a road test and we were the only ones moving on the road... the thing had some Dunlop tyres that were magic in the rain. It was hanging on supurbly, and sounded good and went hard.

Next day, with the races off, we went out towards Wiseman's Ferry... quite a weekend. Not at all what was planned.
