Default 205 GTi Series 3 for sale

Well, it looks like I'll be heading overseas in May/June of this year, so it will be time to sell the Pug-a-lug.

I'll most more details here in due course, but for those who are interested in picking up a Gun-metal grey Series 3 GTi, here are some details.

    Good points :
    New clutch
    New front dampers
    New front bushes
Newish tyres (bought in Oct 2004 from memory).
    Front bonnet respray
New tailgate, rear panel and bumber, as well as new red reflective panel
    Alarm
    CD-MP3 player
    Full service history.

    Not-so-good points :
    192,000 kms
Interior isn't so flash (steering wheel leather is cracked, drivers seat is a bit worn down.) All other interior trims are still in good condition (i.e. no cracking).

I've had the car since 1998, and I've always looked after it from a mechanical viewpoint.

The price I ultimately want for it will depend on how much I spend on it over the next few months. There are a few areas which need some work before I was planning on letting it go.

    Start saving your pennies!

The car has now mechanically passed the roadworthy. It needed new discs and a new rear end.

I've updated the service history to reflect this.

Still some things to do. I have to fix the seats, get two new indicator lamp assemblies, new front tyres and a new windscreen.

I took some pictures in the car park at work.

Still have to fit new indicator lamps and fix the front seats. Imagine how much prettier it would look if I actually cleaned the windows! Or vacuumed the rear seats for that matter

Ok. The front seats have been re-upholstered, and re-trimmed where necessary. The new indicator lamps were fitted about a week ago.

There are new Yokohama C'drives on the front wheels. Sadly Yokohama don't make the A539 anymore... the C-drives have superseded them. So at the moment the fronts are C-drives and rears are A539's. The rear tyres are still in very good condition tread wise, so it seemed silly to throw them away.

I'll get the windscreen and final RWC done next week. All I have to do then is to take some final photos of it and start posting some ads on other internet sites.

The air-con doesn't work, but I'll leave that as is. You've got until next summer to get that repaired

Comes with Haynes Manual, spare '1.9' side panel badge (the one that goes above the petrol cap), some touch-up paint and a spare rear reversing light.

    Price : $8500 ONO.

    rear seats - no flash.

    with flash.

Interior shots. Also show the top of the steering wheel which I patched up with some leather treatment products from a re-upholsterer.

Sorting through my files the other night, I stumbled upon a few more service receipts!

I've included them in the updated service history.
