    Default 205 GTi Race Car

I regret that due to the purchase of another Pug., I have to offer my race car for sale. The car is an '87 Australian delivered car, with just 26 000 Km on the clock. The car has a current Cams log book and is certainly one of the quickest 8V 205's in Australia. A brief overview:

    - freshly rebuilt 8V motor
    - balanced Mi16 bottom end (pistons, liners, rods, crank etc.)
    - ported and polished, swirl chamber big valve head
    - Peugeot Motorsport Grp. A cam
    - close ratio BE3 gearbox
    - 4.43 Diff with Quaife centre
    - Peugeot Motorsport adj. wishbones http://www.cartv.org/Merchant2/graph...00001/7226.JPG
    - Alloy roll cage
    - Koni suspension
    - 21mm torsion bars
    - new 306 front brakes, GTi6 calipers
    - disc brake rear end, with bias adjustment
    - comes with two sets of wheels and some rubber
    - Haltech E6A ECU

Here's some more pics. This car represents exceptional value for money and if you're considering any type of motorsport it should be considered. To build this car from scratch would cost in excess of $25K and you'd wouldn't necessarily have as good a package.

Take the roll bar for example. It's an alloy cage, with CAMS log book. All new cages have to be steel. This car weighs in at just 810Kg. The roll cage is the key point in making a 205 handle. It increases torsional rigidity.

Harnesses. All new harnesses have a life of just 5 yrs. The four point harnesses in this car a FIA approved for life.

This car was registered in Vic. for most of its life. There is no reason why it could not be re-registered as a 2 seater again. It would require a cat., another muffler, removal of the brake bias valve and fitting on the std. induction system (which is mint).
