Default Renault 16TS Special for sale - exceptional car doesn't say enough!

Max Schier in Shepparton is reluctantly selling his metallic bronze 1976 (I think) 16TS Special. I previously owned the car, and people well known to me in Perth maintained it perfectly and later owned it before I bought it, covering at least 20 years of the car's history. I then owned it for 6-7 years, did everything that should be done and had no trouble at all.

The car is in near-perfect original condition - remarkable for its age.

Paint is lovely but not quite perfect. It is after all 38 year-old paintwork.

There is a tiny bit of rust in a door. Hardly a problem and this car is truly original.

The car is mechanically sound, and mostly original in that department too. So it might have the odd creak but should be sound.

    The interior is lovely.

I doubt there would be a better unrestored example of a Renault 16TS. Being a "Special" it is one of the final batch of 16s made by the factory in Australia with metallic paint, a 16TX steering wheel and sports steel road wheels.

Max is firm that he is looking for a good home somewhere with a new custodian who will cherish its originality.

Contact Max on [email protected] or 03 5858 5858.

Wonderful car. Just wonderful. Anyone who acquires it will not be disappointed and will be the envy of the 16 appreciation group.

    Good luck!

    Further information folks.

The asking price has been reduced to $5900 ONO. This is a bargain for an original 16TS of this quality!

    Cheers

Come on guys! This car is remarkable. You'd spend 3-5 times what Max wants to get a DS21 in that condition.

Please, someone who feels the "custodian" urge, just buy it and cherish it!!!!

This is ridiculous. Here we have a quite remarkable 16TS Special and no-one seems able to pay a very modest asking price. If it were a Citroen DS 21 in such good original condition you could easily pay $10,000 more. Or more.

This is probably the best original 16TS in Australia.

    Come on.....
