    Icon5 Stereo aftermarket 2006 Berlingo??

    Hi there,

Has anyone out there installed an after market stereo in their Berlingo?

What model would the original cd player be??

What type of plug is left inside the car?? I am thinking I may need an adapter or some description.

    Looking forward to your responses.

    Hi Tim,

It should have two 8 pin ISO plugs (one brown or white and one black).

One is for speakers and the other for power, earth, accessories, etc.

If it's an early-enough Berlingo, there may even be a section in the owners manual, like "fitting stereo equipment" under the chapter Practical Information that tells you what wire does what.

The plugs should look a little like the attachment below and there is a sample owners manual page. Depending on what year model your Berlingo may be, it may not have this info, or this set of plugs. I think a 2006 model should be as described though.

I had an 04 berlingo. I bought an aftermarket sanyo with bluetooth. I just cut the plug off the original unit, soldered it to the new one and plugged it in. it's not a hard job.

You can buy converter plug sets at Supacheap etc for about $25. You plug one end into the existing plugs in the car and the other into the back of the stereo unit.

Usually a metal coathanger that's been cut and bent into two "U" shapes will suffice - assuming your radio looks similar this:

That headunit looks different to mine. Must be a little different model.

Has anyone out there, taken the front seats out? What tools needed??

I want to put amp under one of them.

    Cheers

Should only be four bolts - either I'd guess 12mm or some sort of Torx head. Have a look.
