    Default The right stuff

HAs any one here used 'The right stuff'???
It seems to be the next generation in liquid gasket products.
It would want to be good, because it is not cheap
I cant help myself trying new products so I bit the bullet and bought a bottle of it today to seal up my sump with.

I always thought "the right stuff" was a proper fitting gasket. Personally I dislike that blue silaceous "make a gasket" goo that exudes from orifice when engines have been repaired by certain styles of mechanics.

As a desperation measure I have used Wurth 320(?) silicon to seal up oil leaks. Always clean with thinners and get rid of any oil before using any sealant.

Its fantastic - the best I think in quick gasket range. Takes about 10 minutes to create a useable seal. Freaking expensive though... Probably too late now but buy the caulking gun instead of the pressure pack and save $$$

Was all ready to start making a mess, read the instructions, prepped my pillow and tools, read the instructions again....press nozzle.....
Hmmm, pressing nozzle now......... presssing....... Nothing.

Maybe they meant push nozzle down.......nothing.

Ok must have to push harder......Snap, Nozzle flies off.

    Some loud profanities followed.

Went down to autobarn, for a replacement and a demonstration of HTF that nozzle works, but that was their last can, and the computer list says NLA. Not surprised.
    Back to ultra grey, sigh..

I'll look into that next time, if there is a next time.
