I have a nice offer from a Frogger for a good XU5 block/liners/pistons, and an 88mm crank&rods, as I'm looking to rebuild a motor while still driving the one in the car.
My question is, is there any difference between the XU5 block and XU9 block in relation to mounts, accessory mounts, sump pattern etc? It will be going in a S1 205 Gti.
Also, has anyone used this combo, and what compression ratio have they achieved out of it? I have an s3 head to put on it.
