    Default Something to be revered.......

Someone posted this guy on here before and I have been following his progress.

He is a serious car nut.

Wow! That's amazing stuff. Isn't that every car nut's dream to have the facilities, and ability to say "Well, I can't afford to buy one, so I'll just MAKE one!!!"?

Seriously, I love that there are people out there who are talented enough to do that stuff.

    oh ps...

since the aussiefrogs people have been paying the most visits to the site lately. i thought maybe someone here knows the answere to my problem with the air intake.

as seen above i've added air intakes. one left and one right. i wanted to use one side for the carburettor and one side to suck in cooling air.

i want to know if anyone has any experience with how many millimeters these tubes (running from the intake to carbs) should be.
too small and ill end up with a car suffering from astma... too large and it'll look crappy and it wont fit.

the tubes are about 1meter in length. and i've got some lying around with an internal diameter of about 45mm. it seems soo small.
i've got another one of about 85mm in diameter.

engine is a small 1500cc vw boxer.

it would be such a shame to cut up the finished car later on, if the tubes where a mistake.

-7 brains and stll it is not enough
-switching on a few more cores

not many tips... So we went with the"bigger is better" theory. We needed to build a collector box, so the outlet could be pointed into another direction... Now the big tubes fit and can easily be fastened.

The front is becomming finalized with the next few weeks. I'll update the site soon.

i have no idea... but i think we should be abel to crush an abrahams tank
i hope the weight wont exceed the 1200kg. the beetle uses pretty thick steel. our sheets are a little bit thinner, but the framework and rollcage will add to the weight.

it is not that important... this is the first attempt. next time i'll try aluminium.

    cheers

still busy with the project eventhough i post less and less. if you are still interrested i've made a facebook page. just look for daartechniek and become a friend. uploading is so much easier via phone. not meaning the site is going down though.

atm doing the doors, so the rubbers can seal it and keep me dry. the boot has taken shape and fits quite nicely. hopefully this summer it gets its colours. but the "small" thing are not so small expressed in time.

hopefully see you on facebook ( daartechniek )

    cheers iwan
