    Citroen Wheels?

    Hi Guys,

I was lucky enough to pick up aset of 4 cit alloys at the auction today still in boxes.

    They 15x6 6 spoke alloys.

There is a marking that says 4-18, would this mean a 18mm offset.

Im hoping these will fit on my 205 as they really look great.

    Any advise apreciated.

How much did you pay? Did you pick up anything else? I'll have to have look at the wheels on the BX.

Dont ask how much I paid, it will make you cry. They were listed as only 3 wheels so not many bid on them.

I had checked them and all 4 were there. In boxes!

    Other stuff I picked up:

    Verniers calipers x2 $5 each
    Garage crawlers x 2 $45 for both
    Car stands x 2 $40 for both
    Alpine deck $5

Citroen BX, ZX, Xantia, Xsara, Saxo and Pug 205, 306, 309, 405, 406 have the same offset of 15~22mm

your assumption seems reasnoable. Or it could be saying 4x108 (stud pattern without the '0' )

you lucky dog, any chance of a picture?

    Parry,

Moorbank Tyres have a set of Toyo semi race rubber at 185 ea (I think). they are 195/55xR15
I do not know precisely what tyre it is.

btw that information is few weeks old now but you could give them a try.

Hey Chris, Im planning to do the CSCA event on May 11th at the creek with Peter. Im just waiting for my CAMS license to be processed.

I will be in the N1 class which means I will be competing with MX5s, Coopers and a S2000. I fancy my chanced against the MX5s but not the S2000.

Well, the straight at Eastern Creek is VERY long, i get well into 4th, and if i get the last turn 100% ill be very high in the revs in 4th, i should shift into 5th but keep in 4th for tricky turn 1. its on this straight that the S2000's etc that big Hp comes into it.
Here is my tips, turn 1, don't go too wide into it from the straight, as there is a bump at the start of the turn, youl see/feel what i mean.
In turn 1 keep it flat and fast into the next turn 2/3 which is a great turn to pass, but if you get it right youl get through realitivelty smooth and quickly, up and over youl go keep it steady keep smooth, as you will need momentum to go up and over the hill under the bridge over pass. Then get ready for big fat braking, its easy to mess what i think is turn 9(?), as the little FWD's tend to understeer here a bit much.
keep it fast and smoot and the last turn is very important to get right as it leads you onto the straight.
the creek is considerably longer than Wakefield and some real monsters show up to meet. but don't be afraid, ive seen a Mirage cup series car swallow, in 2 laps, a Sports sedan, down the straight though, different story.....
    good luck.
Ill be on holidays on the 11th.
    Cheers

Further to my comments on the BFGs, they're drag tyres only. Talk about a niche within a niche! So, no good for track work.
