    Koni Yellow Shocs

Just wondering how much a set of Koni Adjustables would set me back for a 306.

Id go Coilovers but for the street its a bit of a waste and ive heard Koni Coilovers are $6K+

Anyways any suggestions for front suspension setup on a 306?

If anybody knows of someone who can do cheaper let me know.

Konis would be about as good as you can get...

They are made by a manufacturer with a long history of making high performance dampers, and for most cars there are normal 'Special D' and also the yellow 'Sport' models, both are adjustable.

But don't go for the yellow stuff unless you're determined to have a stiff ride.

mmmm $285 each thats damn good. As for stiff ride it doesn't really bother me....its just that my stock shocks wont last too long with lowering springs ive had them for a year now and it may be pushing it.

How much for Koni springs as well?

Do they make any shocks for the rear of the pug?
    The dampners i mean

    I'm checking on that...

If someone has them for $285, I'm sure I can get them for less than that.

I just rang Whiteline Suspension in Sydney and they said $363ea for the front (externally adjustable) and $175ea for the rears (NOT externally adjustable). That is for the Sports ones. Are they the yellows?

Now they also mentioned that for a 205 there is a difference for the pre 86 models. Is this right? SOmething to do with some codes like CV105 and CV103???

Does that make sense to anyone?

    mmmm around $300 isn't too bad..i was suspecting $1000+.

So are these the Koni with 3 height settings? My friend had sum in his Prelude and they are just as good as the coilovers but not as heavily adjustable.

How much would good Euro springs(Eibach,Koni ect) cost for the Konis?

My pugs already lowered quite a bit and id like to keep it that way.

Had a mate send a note to Bilstein a while back and got the below response.

    > The front Bilsteins will cost you $612 pair & $418 pair for the rear
    > They are the Sprint style so they work well with lowered suspension
    > The best springs to use are Eibach they are also made in Germany they
    > Will cost you $340 for the front coil set.
    > The rear is adjustable by moving it on the splines this will cost you
    > $180 on top of the normal labour of $250 including wheel alignment
    > We find the Eibach is a good height at 20mm down for your GTi and the GTi is 10mm from a standard 306.

    mmmm very interesting...thankyou very much.
My friend had Bilstein shocks on his civic but he skimped on the springs and went King Spring

Ill ask him how much he paid but from the look of it i could have bilstein suspension for a bit over $1K....would my Apex Lowering Springs be compatible with thes shocks is the question. Im not sure if i want to upgrade to GTi struts ect now if it complicates things.

So they charge $180 to rotate the mount on the rear torsion bar? Good for them...

Konis will be cheaper than that, by the look of things.

I got quoted close to $1500 including Eibach springs and Koni adjustable shocks all around and fitted.

    ~$300 for springs
~$300 for fitting + adjusting torsion bar
    ~$900 for all 4 shocks

This is from Carshine in Melb, they use TruTrack for fitting.

Its sad to see that some people are paying far too much for services on their pugs. To fit the suspension is not a hard job even the rear bars. The only other thing i will be paying for is a wheel alignment.

If anybody would like to get some new Koni's I will try to get a price for more and hopefully get them even cheaper.

    I don't understand, I haven't had a reply on the price yet...

But I am one of their 'stockists' due to a past life and long association with the company and I can get a pretty good deal.

Being in Sydney is no problem...

    hi Ray

I have not got a reply yet either??

    Darren
Ausi post does not cost alot to send to sydney. I had a set of springs mailed from Vic for only $12.

So if we get a good price we can send them to you.

The PP people are at some MTA deal today, that's why I haven't got an answer. I only deal with the boss there.

But I got some approximate prices... 205 GTi...

    Front normal... $380

    Front Sport (yellow)... $395

    Front externally adj... $600

    Rear normal... $280

    Rear Sport (yellow) $298

I guess 306 are about the same prices. These are only approximate, I might even be able to do better.
