    Peter,

    Where and when??????????? I'm there.........

As Kramer would say; "Giddy Up Jerry!" dance

Am surprised how cool your oil is too - usually after a couple of full throttle runs, it is over 90 deg C. Maybe we are having our leg pulled??? Am not one to comment................. Good on ya.

    Cheers
    Stu

Riiiight....that would be one time you would want to make sure you bought a good jack.

On a dyno run, the tester did 160 in 4th at 7000rpm in my car. The noise was increadible

Yes, I should have warmed it up a bit more. Those astute Mi16 owners would know that 7100rpm = 216 km/h! I did it once with Owen in his Mi164WD. It's very achievable on the right road. How many other cars can hit the redline in top? Isn't Photoshop fun!

Phasis did you see/hear the dyno vid of mine?

The noise surprised a few people!

I had my 89 Mi16 on a dyno last weekend, it achieved 170km/hr @ 7k rpm in 4th. I can confirm the noise was ear shattering.I have a graph printout of torque, bhp, and speed.
This was a 'before" reading at a chip supplier's workshop. I am having a polish and port, then a Torque Master chip fitted to remap engine management for more mid range torque for tarmac rallying.
I too always warm my oil up to normal op.temp. before hillcimbs, sprints, etc.

ntrx - no man I didn't, would love to though. Did you take a peak at the exhaust manifold? It should of been bright red. Mine was

The way mine was dyno'ed the tech took a WOT reading at 2,000-7,000rpm at 1,000 intervals. Most of the other cars that had been on b4 me maxed out at about 5,500 rpm, when mine kept on going everyone was surprised. I even had one guy before the run ask if I thought I would beat a 205GTI...i didn't comment. Mind you he still made 105hp calculated for the flywheel.

Brendan, did you ever think waiting until the car was half warmed up before hitting 200kph might be a good idea? It almost looks like you've just started it! eek!

Phasis & nJm - it was hosted somewhere but I can't find it, I'll have to upload it on Monday to my webspace.

    Hey Adrian,

Is this what you are looking for?

    <a href="http://www.aussiefrogs.com/video/Peugeot%20Media/306gti6_dyno.avi" target="_blank">http://www.aussiefrogs.com/video/Peugeot%20Media/306gti6_dyno.avi</a>

AXGT - I had to wake Sej up! I was coming up to the hill, and i asked him if i could wind it out and take a photo of the speedo. I was expecting 210/220 or something.....not over 250.

Certainly surprised me how stable it was at that speed. I think 260+ is definately acheivable, but as you can see you are nearing the rev cutout.
